About RoutePak
RoutePak is a concept for off-grid directions for car use, currently in development. The idea, in one sentence: when the cell grid goes down, RoutePak gets you home — through pre-saved turn-by-turn directions you follow by street names and landmarks, plus a saved map so you can determine where you are when you cannot follow the directions.
Not yet available. RoutePak is not a product for sale. There is no launch date, no pricing, and no signup or waitlist. This site exists to describe the concept and to share practical grid-down driving advice that is useful on its own.
Why this exists
Modern navigation is superb when it works and silent when it does not. A driver who depends entirely on a live map is one outage away from being lost at the worst possible moment. RoutePak's answer is preparation done in advance: save the route, learn the landmarks, carry the map. It is a prepper-adjacent idea — not because disaster is certain, but because the preparation is cheap and the failure it guards against is common enough to be worth guarding against.
